We’re brewing a very special ale called Brew 17 for the Romsey Festival which celebrates the arts, music and so much more.
Working closely with the Romsey Festival Committee, Brew 17, at 4.5% alcohol by volume, promises to be the perfect festival partner available at various festival venues and of course from the ‘Flak’ Shack brewery shop. The Festival takes place in Romsey between Saturday 1st July and Sunday 16th July.
Festival Chairman Dick Hewett said: “We’re so pleased to have Flack Manor involved in the Festival in this unique way. There has been a long tradition of brewing in Romsey and a special brew to celebrate the Festival is a fitting initiative.”
Brew 17 is described as “A pale refreshing golden ale bursting with the aromas of summer using only English hops from the revered classic Goldings to the hedgerow varieties of First Gold and Cascade, complimented by English Chinook, giving a rounded citrus grapefruit flavour with a smooth integrated bitterness.”
We’re also running a special Romsey Evening Brewery Tour on 6th July as part of the Romsey Festival and from which we shall be making a donation to Jane Scarth House. This is a great chance to see where the Romsey Festival Brew 17 has been produced.
The Romsey Festival is a fantastic local event – be sure to support it and look out for Brew 17!
